WHY BANNING FIRECRACKER FLAMED IN SMOKES?

What were the firecrackers ban?

Happy Diwali festivities to all my readers, I hope you all are great and sound. Diwali 2021 is finally over and all the pre-melodramas are over. Or is it? Absolutely no. There are so many things I would like to share today. So, let's get started.

Firecracker Ban and Unfamiliar Rules for New Delhi

As India prepared to celebrate another Diwali, the apex court intervened with an awkward statement. On 29 October, the Supreme Court of India, benched by Justices MR Shah and AS Bopanna, said that celebrations cannot be at the cost of citizens' health. It further clarified that there will be no complete ban on firecrackers and only those which contain barium salts were prohibited.

In New Delhi, the government put a complete ban on the sale and use of firecrackers in view of city's deteriorating air quality. The Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) ordered a complete ban on firecrackers in the city till 01 January 2022.

You may find Diwali bans by multiple other states here.

How is Delhi after the Diwali celebrations?

The ban by the government of Delhi flamed in smoke as the city roared with firecrackers the previous night. The dust and fog have already covered New Delhi. The complete ban regulation was severely discouraged by Delhiites last night. Literally, every street aspired in firecrackers and many public figured residing in New Delhi were seen motivating the propaganda against the government and court orders.

Though it has been only a few hours since the Diwali celebrations have ended, the firecrackers are not expected to end as the festivities will proceed next couple of nights too. The air quality of New Delhi alone has slipped to the 'Hazardous' category on Air Quality Index (AQI), as of 05 November - 16:45.

Why did the ban go totally wrong?

Now, this is my best portion of the entire blog. So, if you are not in the mood of digesting my personal opinions then stop reading and have a moment for yourself. For others, let's understand the situation carefully.

If we have a list of Hindu festivals lined up, you can easily find various propaganda for them. Look at the below picture.

Now, if I further the discussion, all this propaganda are used as a weapon to promote a familiar campaign of Hinduphobia. Whether we see the righteousness of the ban of firecrackers or not, the disparity between Hindu and Muslim communities will arise. Many individuals, who are qualified and/or educated, raise awareness on firecrackers and animal cruelty just days before Diwali and wishes everyone a delightful Eid without any awareness campaign. I have prominent evidence to put in this regard, look at the activist - Roshni Ali, who challenged the firecrackers in the West Bengal court during Diwali and trolled the Diwali festival while celebrating Eid graciously without mentioning animal cruelty at all.

Above, you can see the hypocrisy of Roshni Ali, the so-called activist - demanding justice and righteousness. She has been continuously promoting anti-Hindu/hinduphobic and non-communal content for a long time. This is a shame for us Indians that pleas are heard and bans are imposed during Hindi festivals and are rejected in favour of other festivals.

My Opinions on the Firecrackers Controversy

In my opinion, the system whether judicial or legislative resides a number of hypocrisies within itself. Why does the Supreme Court of India never imposes a ban on the slaughtering of millions of goats during Eid? Why does it never impose a ban on cutting trees during Christmas and New Year for decorations? On one side these qualified and educated individuals promote awareness on environmental damages caused by Hindu festival celebrations and on the other side, they enjoy beef, meat and steak. However, our government has some other propaganda of coming up with bans and neglecting their due responsibilities to key issues surrounding them. The AQI of New Delhi hasn't reached hazardous during Hindu festivals only. It is observed that Delhi has seen a number of months in total when AQI went above 350. Also, the average AQI of Delhi was 265 during October 2020. But the officials won't take action at those times. All they care about is how to blame a Hindu festival so their responsibilities can be managed. It's the hard truth, but if firecrackers are bad for health, then is slaughtering of millions of goats during Eid justified at any cost?

NO! My point is that I favour that firecrackers are definitely injurious for our health. But we live in a democracy where the government always states that tobacco and cigarettes severely damage one's health but refuses to blanket ban them. I support that firecrackers should be banned, but not during Diwali only - but for all time with a blanket ban on slaughtering of goats or any animal and cutting trees, etc.

Government, public figures and we have to understand that the diversity of India does not allow it any benefits when the decisions are not favouring a community. The point of this, previous and future Diwalis is clear: if there's a ban on firecrackers during Diwali, then ban the slaughtering of goats and cutting of trees during Eid and Christmas as well or blanket ban for them forever.
